Nordic TAG is a sibling conference to UK-TAG, and the younger US-TAG. Between 1985 and 2015, different Nordic cities hosted 15 meetings. There have been several longer pauses between conferences, but the 7-year hiatus since the last meeting was held in Copenhagen is the longest as of yet.
The aim was to promote a common debate and discussion of issues in theoretical archaeology in the Nordic countries, particularly among young researchers in archaeology

Missing an informal, friendly, yet challenging venue for Nordic archaeologists to come together, a small group of researchers based in Oslo decided to revive Nordic TAG.
